CTV - Commitment Sunday
Church Family,
As we approach the conclusion of our Continue the Vision journey, I want to begin by saying thank you.
Thank you for engaging so faithfully in the 21-day spiritual journey. Thank you for setting aside time to pray, reflect, read Scripture, attend gatherings, and seek the Lord. It has been deeply encouraging to watch our church lean in spiritually and thoughtfully consider how God may be leading each of us in this season.
Scripture reminds us:
“Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”
— 2 Corinthians 9:7
This has been our heart from the beginning. This campaign is not about pressure. It is about prayerful obedience. It is about gratitude for what previous generations have done and faith for what God will do next.
This Sunday, February 22, 2026, is Commitment Sunday.
On that day, we are asking every individual and family to complete a commitment card and bring it with you to the service. Even if you are unable to participate financially at this time, we still encourage you to turn in a card. Your response matters. Your participation reflects unity and
prayerful consideration, and it helps us move forward together as one church family.
We also want to encourage you to prayerfully consider bringing a First Fruits offering along with your commitment card. A First Fruits gift is an initial offering given at the beginning of your commitment. These gifts allow us to “hit the ground running” and begin making progress on the projects we have planned. While your pledge represents your commitment over time, a First Fruits offering helps us begin with momentum.
When you arrive on February 22nd, please hold on to your commitment card and any First Fruits offering until you are directed during the
service to respond. We want to take time together as a church family to pray and present our commitments to the Lord in a unified moment of worship.
A few practical details regarding giving:
As we prepare for Sunday, I want to close with something that has been on my heart.
At our Night of Worship, I invited people to share what God has been doing in their lives—especially during the 21-day spiritual journey. I know that can be difficult. Speaking publicly does not come easily for many of us.
But I have always said: numbers only tell part of the story.
Yes, our church attendance has grown significantly over the last several years. But that is not the whole story.
Yes, we have set a two-year goal of $300,000. And even if we were to exceed that goal beyond what we imagined, that still would not be the
whole story.
The real story is this:
What is God doing in hearts?
What prayers have been answered?
What habits have been formed?
What repentance has taken place?
What faith has grown?
What has God done through the ministry of CCC?
What has He done in you over these 21 days?
Even if you are not comfortable sharing that in front of a large group, share it with someone. Share it with a friend. Share it with your family. And at the very least, share it with God in gratitude. Thank Him for who He is and for what He has done.
Because in the end, this has always been about Him.
Let’s come on February 22nd ready to respond in faith, unity, and joy.
With gratitude and expectation,
Pastor Kevin
