Our youth program caters to students in 7th through 12th grade. They usually gather on Sunday evenings from 5:30 to 7:00 pm at the church, offering a dedicated space for them to engage in activities, discussions, and learning. Additionally, every other week, they have the option to participate during the worship service, providing a more integrated experience within the church community. We are enthusiastic about the fresh direction we are taking with the youth program, as it presents new opportunities for them to explore, learn, and develop together. This may involve a range of activities such as group discussions, community service projects, spiritual teachings, and social events, all designed to foster personal growth and a sense of belonging within the church.
We take an annual trip to Big Creek Missions, a non-profit organization located in a rural area, where we have the privilege of serving the local community in various impactful ways. Our activities include engaging in construction projects to improve infrastructure, conducting children's ministry to provide educational and recreational activities for the youth, and organizing food distribution initiatives to support families in need.
In addition to our service work, we prioritize spending time each day in worship and prayer as a team. This intentional spiritual practice fosters a sense of unity and purpose, allowing us to reflect on our experiences and seek guidance for our efforts. It also provides an opportunity for personal reflection and growth, deepening our understanding of the community's needs and the impact of our service.
Our annual trip to Big Creek is not only a chance to give back to a deserving community but also a tremendous opportunity for our own spiritual growth. The experience of serving others in a meaningful way and coming together in worship and prayer creates a profound and lasting impact on each participant, strengthening their faith and fostering a deeper connection to the mission of service and compassion.
